A 9 to 5 job can challenge you professionally and physically as sometimes days become very hectic and can affect the wellness. We understand that when you are stuck to your desk for a whole day, it’s easy to feel sleepy. But taking nap or drinking coffee will not help you out so, try these exercises for energy and to avoid sleepiness during office hours:
Extend your legs
Extending your leg is an easy way to keep yourself up and stay energetic. It is not only great for your legs but for your abs also. Make sure you extend them parallel to the floor and point your toes. Repeat this and you will feel fresh and comfortable.
A few vigorous-intensity exercises can quickly wake you up! All you have to do is stand beside your desk and March on the spot while pumping your arms above your head.
Another easiest way to wake yourself up is twisting your torso. Just turn to one side and grab the back of your chair . Use your hand to grab the back of your chair and twist your torso around as far back as you can. Do the same thing for both sides.
Shrug your shoulders
Did you know shrugging your shoulders can help you avoid sleepiness? Apparently, this exercise can reverse sleepiness and release pain in the neck and shoulders. Take a deep breathe deeply as you lift your shoulders up to your ears and then exhale as long as you can. Repeat this three times and you will feel fresh.
Stretching has many benefits including sending oxygen-rich blood throughout your body to give you an awaked feeling. Few basic stretch exercises can quickly eliminate your feeling of fatigue and make you feel fresh for the rest of the day.
